Accessibility
This website aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Here is what we check, what we have not checked, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.

Scope
This statement covers this website, in both English and Bulgarian. It does not cover the application at lzd-app.vercel.app, which is assessed separately.
What is checked automatically
Every page is tested with axe against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules, in both colour themes, at 375 and 1280 pixels wide, and in both languages. A violation fails the build.
Two more checks run alongside: the page must not scroll sideways at 375 pixels, and the skip link must be the first thing keyboard focus reaches.
What we have done by hand
- Text and interface colours are checked against a 4.5:1 contrast floor in both themes, including both ends of the brand gradient.
- Status is never carried by colour alone — the words say it too.
- Motion is limited to one animation, and it stops entirely when the system asks for reduced motion.
- The chart has a text alternative and a hidden table with the same numbers.
What has not been checked yet
- No testing with real assistive technology users has been carried out.
- Screen reader testing has been done informally, not systematically, and not across several readers.
- Automated checks catch a known subset of problems. They do not prove a page is usable.
Tell us when something blocks you
Write to zen@kanzenkai.org and describe what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We will confirm within five working days and tell you when we expect to fix it.
If a fix will take time, we will say so rather than go quiet.
